Welcome to "gentle guide canine services", owned and operated by Alison and Hans Reher. We are pleased to offer dog walking, dog boarding, cat visitation, petsitting and doggie daycare services to our neighbours in the mid-town area of Toronto.

We are the proud pet-parents of Maddox, our Golden Retriever, and our two cats, Tarquin & Tamsin. We are both active in the animal rights movement; we are members of the All Canadian Pet Services Network; members of the Toronto Area Dog Walkers Alliance; members of The Pet Care Network; proud members of PETA and ARK II; and Alison is a founding member and acting Co-Director of the Balfour/Rosehill Park Dog Owners Association. We are certified in Pet First Aid & CPR; and our business is registered and insured.

Caring for your precious pet is more than a job for us, it is a mission. We use only positive and gentle training methods with our own companion animals and extend the same loving care to our clients. We walk a maximum of three dogs each, in order to guarantee that your canine companion receives the individual attention (s)he deserves. We provide complimentary homemade organic & vegetarian pet treats with each walk. We leave a detailed review of your dogs' time outside the home with each walk. And we use biodegradable pick-up bags, in order to be both responsible and environmentally-friendly.

In order to secure our services, we ask that you guarantee that your pet:

1) is up-to-date with vaccinations

2) is being given flea control medication during the summer months

3) and is licensed with Toronto Animal Services

Please note that your dog must have the license attached to his/her collar or leash at all times.

We offer a complimentary half-hour "trial walk" to our new clients. All new boarding and daycare clients are offered a one-hour in-home trial "play-date".
