 Frequently Asked Questions

1) How do I book the services of "gentle guide"?

Please download the form which applies to the service in which you are interested.

Please call us to arrange for a complimentary test walk; test daycare; or kitty meet-and-greet, prior to finalizing your booking.

2) Who will provide the care for my dog or cat?

Alison & Hans provide most of the dog walks in our Yonge & St. Clair area neighbourhood, as well as the cat visitation service and the 5-hour doggie daycare option.

Lorna provides both the 8-hour & the 12-hour extended daycare options; as well as the overnight boarding service.

3) I am interested in a group walk for my dog. What times are available?

Our group dog walks are normally scheduled Monday through Friday at 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 noon, 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Because of this schedule, all of our individual walks are booked around these times. Please give us a call to check on the availability of the service in which you are interested.

4) Which services are available on weekends?

The group dog walks, the individual dog walks and our regular daycare service are available Monday through Friday only. We do not offer weekend walks at this time.

Both daily and on weekends we offer the extended-time daycare options; the cat visits; and the overnight boarding service.

5) Can my puppy join in on the group walks?

For their own safety, we cannot accept puppies for group walks until they have had all of their shots (usually at four months of age). After that time, group walks may be a great option for your pup.

6) Is there anything else I need to arrange before my dog can go on walks with you?

We are required, by law, to ensure that our canine clients have a valid license with the City of Toronto (as current regulations make the dog service provider responsible for any fines incurred due to City By-law infractions). Please note that the license must be attached to your dogs' collar or leash at all times. If you need to apply for a license, please call 416-338-PETS or apply online HERE

We also ask that you can guarantee that your pet is up to date with required shots, so that the health and safety of all of our clients is assured.

Because of the sensitivities of some of our current clients, we are unable to accept intact adult male dogs for group walks.

Please call us at your convenience, should you have additional questions or wish to book an appointment. We look forward to speaking with you!
